Development Strategy of the Company

This diploma deals with development strategy of company. Subject of analysis is one of the world’s biggest car rental company, it’s Czech part to be more specific. This thesis analyses company according to analytics methods taught during the study, most important is The Strategic analysis. Results of the analysis part reveals a weak spot – absence of utility vehicles, which are offered by company’s foreign offices also by local competitors. Method of minimal costs was used for developing and presenting one specific solution to eliminate the weak spot.

The idea behind it is to rent training vehicles to people outside the driving school. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part of the work is focused on literary research to find the theoretical basis for strategic management, strategy creation, business plan creation and is the basis for the analytical part. In the second part of the thesis I deal with the analysis of the influence of the environment on the operation of the company and also with the analysis of its current development and evaluation of these influences. Barriers to the development idea are also evaluated. In the last, design part, the overall strategy is completed and a business model for renting a training vehicle is proposed.

Assumptions development and success of selected carsharing company

The thesis is focused on carsharing. Firstly, the concept of carsharing is defined , followed by specifications of different types of this business, as well as its developments and both customer and social advantages . The thesis also evaluates the developments of Czech carsharing market with main focus on the leading company on the Czech carsharing market. Regarding the history of carsharing in the developed market economies, the thesis has been evaluating strengths and weaknesses of the respective company. The thesis also tries to make the comparison of the price competitiveness of the leading Czech company compared to its direct and indirect competitors. Recommendations of the steps how to develop this particular company and how to strengthen its market position are subject to the final part of the thesis.
Rental, tenancy and leasing - Conformity and differences

The thessis focuses on comparison of rental, tenancy and leasing in legal and practical perspective. The aim is to find out how can these instruments be used for acquisition of movable property for private needs. A car has been chosen as an example. For research and evaluation there have been chosen methods of analysis and comparison. Common habit of private persons in acquisitions of cars is to take a credit or leasing from financial institution. The author of this thessis compares offers of those two methods along with an offer for rental as well as their terms and conditions. Car rental has come out as the cheapest in examined case. The results of examination cannot be generalized, because this case has been evaluated under specific conditions.
